How much does a tooth-colored filling cost in Miami?
Most composite fillings fall in the low-to-mid hundreds per tooth, depending on size and location. You’ll have an exact quote before we begin, we file your insurance for you, and most PPO plans reimburse a meaningful portion.
Are tooth-colored fillings as strong as silver ones?
Modern composites are durable, bond directly to the tooth, and require less drilling than amalgam — and they disappear into your smile. For larger repairs where more strength is needed, we’ll recommend an inlay, onlay, or crown instead, and explain why.
Can you replace my old metal fillings?
Yes. We regularly replace worn or visible amalgam with tooth-colored composite, using careful isolation during removal. If an old filling is large, we’ll show you on the X-ray whether a composite, onlay, or crown is the sound long-term choice.
Does getting a filling hurt?
The tooth is numbed completely and the appointment is unhurried — most fillings are finished in a single comfortable visit, and you can eat normally again the same day once the numbness fades.
